ATTLEBOROUGH ANNUAL TOWN ASSEMBLY

Attleborough Annual Town Assembly was held on Monday, 15 April 2019 at 7.00pm.  The Town Mayor, Cllr Vera Dale, presided over the meeting which was well attended with over sixty residents, Town and District Councillors and community representatives.  Cllr Dale presented her Annual Report which included special thanks to her fellow Councillors and staff and local community services and volunteers.

 

Reports were also received from Revd Matthew Jackson on behalf of the Attleborough Town Lands Charity and also on the work of St Mary’s Church. Town Cllr and Academy Governor, Eddie Tyrer, provided a progress report on proposals for Attleborough Academy. Inspector Jo Walmsley advised on the current work of the Attleborough Police Team and achievements in the last year.

 

There was an Open Forum and issues raised ranged from concerns regarding traffic in the town to the decline in the hedgehog population.

 

Following the formal meeting light refreshments of tea, coffee and cake were served enabling all participants to engage in further discussions.
