ATTLEBOROUGH TOWN CLERK WINS NORFOLK CLERK OF THE YEAR AWARD

Attleborough Town Council are pleased to congratulate their Town Clerk and CEO, Gina Lopes, as the Overall Winner of the “Norfolk Clerk of the Year 2018”. Gina said she was both “surprised and delighted” and thanked the Councillors for nominating her.

The competition is run jointly by the Norfolk Association of Local Councils and the Society of Local Council Clerks.  Gina is pictured with Norfolk County Officer, Russell Reeve, who presented the award with Cllr Shirley Matthews of Swaffham Town Council and Sarah Thorpe representative of Society of Local Council Clerks.  The results were announced at the Norfolk Association of Local Councils’ AGM on Thursday, 22 November 2018.  Councillors and Clerks from across the County attended as well as Norman Lamb, MP, and Jonathan Owner of NALC and all congratulated Gina on her achievement.

Attleborough Town Councillors, Tony Crouch and Keith Montague, who nominated Gina for the award said, “We are very proud of Gina and pleased that all her hard work has been formally recognised, she thoroughly deserved to win this prestigious award.”
