ATTLEBOROUGH – PROPOSED TRAFFIC ORDERS AND NOTICES

 

The Norfolk County Council propose to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effects of which will be as follows:

 

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (ATTLEBOROUGH, VARIOUS ROADS)

(STREET PARKING PLACES AND DISABLED PARKING PLACES) AMENDMENT ORDER 2018    

 

The effect of this Order will be to remove the street parking places on the lengths of road as specified in Schedule 1. The Norfolk County Council (Attleborough, Various Roads) (Street Parking Places and Disabled Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011 will be amended by the deletion of those lengths of road as specified in Schedule 1. The current restrictions on the remaining length of B1077 Church Street North Side will remain the same.

 

SCHEDULE 1

In the Town of Attleborough

 

B1077 Connaught Road

North Side

From a point 37 metres east of the centreline of its junction with the U33145 New North Road eastwards for a distance of 81 metres
B1077 Church Street

North Side

From a point 32 metres west of its junction with the B1077 Norwich Road/ Surrogate Street for a distance of 41 metres westwards

 

 

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (ATTLEBOROUGH, VARIOUS ROADS) (ONE-WAY) AMENDMENT ORDER 2018    

 

To amend The Norfolk County Council (Attleborough, Various Roads) (One-Way) Consolidation Order 2011 to remove the one-way restriction on the length of Surrogate Street as specified in Schedule 2 below, to allow vehicles to travel in both a northerly and southerly direction.

 

SCHEDULE 2

In the Town of Attleborough

 

B1077 Surrogate Street From its junction with the B1077 Norwich Road/ Church Street to its junction with the B1077 Connaught Road/ Station Road

 

 

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (ATTLEBOROUGH, VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2018  

 

The effect of this Order will be to prohibit waiting at any time along the lengths of road specified in Schedule 3. The Norfolk County Council (Attleborough, Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2014 will be amended by the addition of the lengths of road in Schedule 3.

In the Town of Attleborough

 

B1077 Church Street North Side From a point 32 metres west of its junction with the B1077 Norwich Road/ Surrogate Street westwards for a distance of 41 metres
B1077 Connaught Road North Side From a point 37 metres east of the centreline of its junction with the U33145 New North Road eastwards for a distance of 81 metres

 

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (ATTLEBOROUGH, VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2018  

 

The effect of this Order will be to prohibit right turns from the length of road specified in Column 1 of Schedule 4 to the length of road specified in Column 2 of Schedule 4.

A copy of the above Orders, their respective Statement of Reasons for making the Order and plans may be inspected at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich and at the offices of Breckland Council, Elizabeth House, Walpole Loke, Dereham, NR19 1EE during normal office hours.

 

Any objections and representations relating to the Orders must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ATTLEBOROUGH, STATION ROAD, CONNAUGHT ROAD AND SURROGATE STREET ZEBRA PEDESTRIAN CROSSING AND ASSOCIATED ZEBRA CONTROLLED AREA NOTICE 2018

 

As required under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Part III Sections 23 and 25, notice is hereby given that the Norfolk County Council propose to install a Zebra Pedestrian Crossing and an associated Zebra controlled area on the following lengths of road.

 

B1077 Station Road At a point 109 metres north-west of the centreline of its junction with the U33145 New North Road
B1077 Connaught Road At a point 99 metres east of the centreline of its junction with the U33145 New North Road
B1077 Surrogate Street At a point 78 metres north of the centreline of its junction with the U33176 Thieves Lane

 

Distances measured are to the centreline of the pedestrian crossing.

 

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ATTLEBOROUGH THE FOUR WAY JUNCTION OF BESTHORPE ROAD, SURROGATE STREET, NORWICH ROAD AND CHURCH STREET SIGNALISED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING NOTICE 2018

 

As required under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Sections 23, 25 and 122, notice is hereby given that the Norfolk County Council propose to install signalised pedestrian crossings. The pedestrian crossings will be located at the four-way junction of C139 Besthorpe Road, B1077 Surrogate Street, B1077 Norwich Road and B1077 Church Street. The pedestrian crossings will be positioned on the Norwich Road and Church Street arms of the four-way junction.

 

The reason for these crossing proposals is to provide a safer environment for pedestrians within an urbanised area. It is also part of a wider scheme to improve the existing transport network within Attleborough to support the planned housing and development growth and resolve some of the current transport problems.

 

A copy of the plans for the above Notices may be seen at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich and at the offices of Breckland Council, Elizabeth House, Walpole Loke, Dereham, NR19 1EE during normal office hours.
